I recovered gold successfully twice when my stump out was new. (I had left the stump out container without the lid and a spoon inside the whole time)
so a few weeks have gone by and I cannot for the life of me drop gold with this container of stump out
I keep thinking it must of gone bad.

I'm fairly sure access nitric was removed in my failed AR drops, I used sulfamic acid to take care of that and always tried to use as little nitric as possible. can stump out go bad?

the last failed batch was gold removed from plates. I used copper to cement the gold out. and recovered, just don't understand why the stump out wouldn't work for me the last three times when my two first batches went perfect.

A quick google search reveals the shelf life of SMB to be 6 months stored properly...

Given you stated you left it out with the lid off, I'd say it's reasonable for you to hypothesize that it might be bad.

Really really horrific ones

I wish I could tell you how many times I asked myself
and the form questions that started out with
"But the last 1-100 drops were successful with the exact
Same process "

Seems pretty easy to just by more stumpout "homedepot
