Sweater Clip

I bought a sweater clip today. The spring clip itself is marked alpaca, this is nickle silver I think. The leaf part that shows is marked 750, and it has a hallmark but I cannot make it out. Would the leaf part be 18 k gold?

I have heard of alpaca gold,and 750 is one of the hallmarks for 18k.
Of course any jeweler could tell you in a minute.

I do not know what you paid for this piece, but investing a little money and time in learning to test karat gold on a touchstone will reap rewards and peace of mind when you buy for the rest of your life.
