Have about 4000 to 5000 pounds of telephone scraps. It has gold pins, tantalum and monolithic. Price $0.50/lb negotiable. Terms: No delivery, only available for pick-up only. Location: NYC.
Nice find....Price...well, ask a recycle co. would pay for such a load.
The subtract labor involed and truck just to move it all.
I'd first ask about loading it all up and removing it for them.
Call back later if that's a no go and ask what the highest bid is for it.
Alot of places/ people do what they can to make some extra $$$ so they first see if someone will pay for it. Then, when they need it gone, will take the forst to say, I'll take it.
Most companies will give you this junk. With almost all business switching over to VOIP, this old stuff is everywhere. We pick it up for free by the truckloads around here and are happy to get .15 cents a pound for it. Good luck with that 50 cent price. Hope you can get it.
$0.50 is high considering about 50% of the weight is plastic housings. And then consider the work to dis-assemble and disposal of all that plastic.
Phones are not high on my target list. I'll still scrap them only because I get them for free. I would not seek this e-scrap out.
