i have been searching the forum looking for the right type & size crucible that i can use to smelt MLCC's

going to build a furnace like this, but with thinner walls & 2 torches. may just use koawool & a larger can.

i have 3 pounds of MLCC to smelt (or try to smelt), any help or info would be great. thanks in advance.

been looking at something like this, but i am not sure due to the flux mixture causing corrosion.

thats a waste of time.

you need somethying like this http://www.backyardmetalcasting.com/hmkit.html. I have one and its great. this is another great site http://foundry101.com/index.htm.

I use 50g one shot crucibles and they hold 100+toz of silver.

this is what you need on a small scale.

Two things i trust almost without question. One is Pyroceram and Salamander crucibles.

this is a bit bigger then i need. i get 3 lb of MLCC a year. the gold & silver i can use a melting dish & mapp gas torch, cause i don't get huge amount to process at a time

Salamander in my opinion. 3 pounds, maybe an A2. It hold 5 pounds of metal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SALAMANDER-SUPER-A2-CLAY-GRAPHITE-MELTING-CRUCIBLE-MELT-GOLD-SILVER-BRASS-MORGAN-/190533259150?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c5caacf8e
