Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I can give my ic ram chips a soak in AP solution to dissolve all the tin solder from the business side of the ic chips. My plan(if it works) is to dissolve all the tin solder off the back with the ap soloution and rinse off the chips with distilled water and then incinerate them without the solder to get a better result from using the hcl bleach method to dissolve the gold bonding wires. Has anyone tried this method? If so, what was the outcome?

Welcome.
I'd use HCl not AP.
And it is not a bad idea as such but it will create waste, but this can be minimized by using it until the acid is depleted.
This will minimize the amount of waste.
