i think my best guess, from doing Aero Space Chips/ Ground Sat . rx transmitters, is that it is NOT a CPU, more like hybrid switching unit. Analogue and Digital, for Multiplex signaling.
i have processed a few. one of the richest chips i have ever ground down. " more like keepers now, " if some one would appreciate them. i don't have records of merit on these " sorry" but i have seen them and ground them up. " i wish i had them now " this goes back to 1995 / 2001 times. my guess is, 2.0 to 2.5 Grams for ten units. i sample in tens, then divide to get per unit values. Nice chip. Look how rich it looks. as one ebay guy would say, that makes the videos, " flowing with gold " Cheers. Nice photo.

I have processed several pounds of these and the yields are nothing to write home about. If memory serves me correctly they yielded 1.2g per pound. I have no idea of the collectors value of the item.

The bulk of the weight of the component is a chunk of tungsten. They were a pain to process as mine had a layer of material and adhesive on the golden side that prevented the dissolution of the gold. I ended up having to manually remove the adhesive with a razor to get the gold off of them.

further Thoght Values of Merit, are aided by good photos, records and note keeping of recovery ...

back in 2003 i had some TQ chips, much like the package you are showing, of what i though was analogue multiplexer chips.
signal switchers, under digital control, chips, with similar looking plating, in reduction of ten, i had an unusually high yield.

i had been reducing some voltage reference chips, which had a ladder resistor high accuracy technique which had been returning 2 to 2.5 grams for ten units.

this is at 300 an ounce days. that year 03, i had just switched from film to digital camera, and started keeping photos, of chips, that were of more value, less value to process.

................................................................

from 95 to 03, chips that were so low, in recovery value, i just stored, and have some still. 5400 ttl package stuff, ceramic ECL emitter coupled logic chips TI, and such .

...............................................................

Voltage reference chips have a heavy plate for good thermal stability. for some reason i equated the TQ chips with this premium quality.

..............................................................

i am keeping chips now for collection, / and vintage . as keeping much more accurate records. i am recovering silver and gold bonding wire besides
gold and tin paste .. " which isn't talked much about in the forum " ..

..............................................................

i think the TQ chips would make a great keeper for vintage. collector and history chip. / nice photo you posted.

the picture brought back excitement, as i think they were a very good chip, but i don't have the notes. " just the excitement still "

brother in fidelity of recovery and process / Thomas in Vancouver Canada

........................................................

As an open valuation of the TQ chips, i think they are valued to "me" at 20 dollars a pound. "" sharing in the forum ""

The pics brought back excitement to me, " thanks " what i consider heavy plate, to me is always exciting. / thomas gx
