Trouble processing silver with sulfuric acid

If this is all sterling silver, why not go straight to a silver cell. My sterling silver comes out very clean.
No melting, casting or otherwise. Straight into my anode basket. This has to be the easiest way to purify sterling silver. Sreetips has all the basics of this, don't understand messing with sulfuric acid, as his silver cells are quite productive with silver nitrate as the electrolyte.
 
Sreetips says that the silver feed stock has to be about 98% pure to get good life out of his electrolyte. If you use sterling, the electrolyte gets contaminated with too much copper and the copper starts to plate out on the cathode with the silver.

There are many threads with people running Sterling in the Silver cells.
It is completely doable in even largeish scale.
