I'm trying to refine very impure gold (3k-6k about 12.50% gold). Is it possible, and what can I expect?

Since the gold is less than 6K you can likely use nitric acid to dissolve the base metals and process the resulting powder with HCl-Cl or AR.

If properly performed you can expect to produce fine gold (99% +).
