This may be a an ignorant question, but can a cell also be used for deplating silver,platinum and rhodium ?
If it can be used for white metals, is the process the same as it is for gold ?

Silver - yes. Pt - maybe. Rh - no. Processes would all be different, probably. Of the common metals, all are white except Cu and Au.
