I am interested in learning more about possibly using a continuous feed / continuous discharge centrifuge to expedite the process of removing micro-partials held in suspension in my waste acid / rinse water.

I heard that there are inexpensive machines out there that one can feed in 60 to 100 gallons per hour and will remove everything larger than one micron. Without knowing more, this does seem like a practical solution, rather than allowing particles to settle out on their own.

Anyone using this process or know much about it?

Thanks!

Are you looking to eliminate filtration or settle suspended solids? The reason I ask is most centrifuges can handle liquids which are close to pH neutral or alkaline, so if you're looking to spin hydroxides from waste liquors there are proven devices to do this. If you're looking to eliminate filtering an acid, the materials of construction may cause an issue.

This is a product called a clarifuge which removes hydroxides from waste streams at relatively high flows. http://www.barrettinc.com/images/B-CF-BR-0001A.pdf
