What about the gold plating under the copper top?

Not to hijack the thread about pulling the copper tops off the green fiber CPU's. But is there any way to get that gold plating from the underside of the copper lid? Or is it just a waste of time to mess with.

i use sulfuric cell on mine works good

incinerate the lids first. the gold will not strip from any area the acid cant touch. any resin or heat sink compound left on the metal will leave gold unstripped.
