Great find. Make sure before you rip anything apart that what you have isn't worth more as a collectors item boards and individual chips can be silly money if old and rare.

Does anyone have a reference post (or anything) that would help new folks identify such boards/chips?

Of course, those that are "weird looking" have a possibility (and most can be looked up by part number on the internet), though going through dozens of card and chip numbers is tedious. I know, it is all part of paying your dues, but if there are some helpful hints, I, for one, would appreciate seeing them (so far, haven't found them on the board, but then, I've only gone through about 3/4 of all the posts and haven't actually done a search directly for this topic, I just see that sort of statement a lot).

I'm sorry this isn't an area I'm familiar with but some of the bigger players in e scrap on the forum I'm sure can tell you where to look. E bay has got to be worth a quick check to get some ideas as to collector values and try googling chip collector values something I'm sure will appear that's of use.

More or less most of it was actully damaged in a fire it took me a med size uhaul packed including passanger seat to move everything I will post more pics of what i have a full garage plus basement lol wife is not happy so I will be processing this lot pretty quick some is low med grade board but 70% are high grade boards from the 60s and 70s with my favorite white with gold top chips
