what electronic componets contain gold?

any one scrap old circiut boards.

I have tons of boards almost an endless supply...I need to know what parts contain gold.

so far I take ic's transistors and tiny switches and incenerate them and get some gold.

what about any other parts that contain gold.....I know that most relays have gold contacts....

any other parts I should look for?......thanks ......Steve

Just do some searching on the forum. Not to be rude, but asking this question is like asking " where on the planet earth can I find water?"

If you want to know if a specific part contains gold. Then try searching for the answer using the search function in the upper right hand corner of the screen. If you don't have luck there, then post a picture and a brief description of the item and if another member knows they will gladly help you.

I promise you that if it contains gold, someone here has processed it and will be more than happy to share that info with you.

I know that most relays have gold contacts....

This is not the case most are silver. Some switches and telecom relays are plated or overlaid with gold. The overlaid will have more gold in them.. The ice cube relays with gold plating are plated over AgCdO.

If you have an endless supply that take the visible gold and sell the rest. Cherry Picking is the best for small time refiners.
