What is the wire from Computer Power Supplies Made of?

It's Silver colored wire and it makes up the wire inside the wiring harness of computer power supplies.

It bends easily and holds it's shape well.

Is it aluminum or some kind of plated copper?

ps...when I get my camera I will post some pics of the automatic wire stripper I just made out of an electric can opener
 
My copper buyer accepts power supply wire as #2 insulated with the connectors still attached. As to the actual composition I wouldn't know.
 
Hope that you will not forget that pictures as I have spend ages with stanley in one hand and stripping and stripping and changing blades and so on....
 
If it looks darkish silver, it is probably nickel plated copper which sells as #2 pipe.

Hello all. THis is my first post. ;-) I love this forum already and I have only read 3 threads so far.
 
Ive had them tested. Most wire that looks silvery is tin coated. Corrosion resistance.
