I am new to this , I get high grade ore and have used the HCL cook followed by wash and melt. Use Borax, ash, a nail, and silicate, but after 45 min it's only a plastic blob. I also melt the above with no acid and got similar results.

You DO NOT use acids on ore, period.
You MAY use acids on concentrate and after a proper assay.

Define "furnace". Too many options to make a valid guess.

Initial idea is that it needs more oxygen so the propane burns hotter. Might try to open up the ports or get a different burner.

But I could be completely wrong.

Thanks, maybe I should go Electric, I've already gone through 2 20lb bottles of propane, and no yellow.

I tend to exaggerate, but you should see the fish I just caught. Actually I can't say where it is from but it's good. Secondly I just took classified powder and tried to melt it.

The Chinese Propane kind, I also increased the batting to cover the bare spots, and it works but not at 1050C

If you tune the venturi to as close as you can get to 100% combustion, and limit the escaping heat, that's all you can get out of your system.
