I have loads of flatware and jewelry and need a good refiner. I use ARA for all my gold and they are very good..... but I want to get more than 90% if I can. Anyone have any thoughts.

The problem with sterling is that it must be refined and the refining of sterling is expensive to do. For small quantities, 90% is pretty good. Also, sterling is rarely 92.5% silver, as it's supposed to be. Someone who runs huge amounts of sterling recently told me that most of what they were seeing, nowadays, averaged 90%, or a little less. Since the sterling you sell won't usually be assayed, as karat gold is, part of the price the buyers are paying covers their butts for these discrepancies.
