The people at ESG are quite nice and they are straight fair, my opinion.
But they refine by themselves, so they don't pay more for refined stuff. You can send them anything containing some PMs and will get the same price per gramm.
ESG in Germany ...ha ha ha ha,i can say.they wanted to pay me for 1 kilo silver chloride 80 euros, after i called them they ofered me 100 euros, you can make a picture what kind of fairness they practice,

Ok, it should look like metal, but they pay the same price per gramm fine silver for 800 silver as for 925 or 999. So, you could drop refining, just recover. And they take no money for assaying.
Well if your sure of your figures they seem a little light on the returns and there is no payout on the platinum which again if your correct is an excellent bonus for the refinery at around 80 grams. Have you had an assay done on your material to check the returns?
That is good to know. Thanks for the info! I'll keep an eye on them, next time I send something to them....IF I send something to them. We should let them know, that we are a network. We are many (refiners), we do not forget (deception), expect us (not to trade again)
I found 1.2% Pd in your material and I told you that. My methods are far from beeing perfect, but as it looks, they found 1,25%.
I can understand your anger and disappointment, but to me that first result seems to be correct, if it is the same material (4 Kg).
This is a very "dirty" business, but those guys always made a fair and correct impression concerning assays to me. I have cross-checked several batches before selling to ESG and they were always 100% on par!
Maybe their buying price is not the best in the market, but that one knows before and that is fully transparent. They pay out 80% of London fixing, so there is no mystery on that.
If you work with other refiners, no matter how big in Germany you will be surpised what crooks they are.
So maybe you should rather check with your supplier...
