Where you might be able to get Sodium Hydroxide

I have noticed that your automated carwashes use Sodium hydroxide(lye)

as a perwash on your car... :x YES they do;;; :?:

I drive a trash truck and they throw the empty barrels in the dumpsters every week,, I though I would see what was in the barrels and I was suprised. :mrg

They might be able to get you a GOOD price on it or give you some for FREE if you know someone.....

When there is a red line under a word, it means that it is miss-spelled. Well they were spelled correctly but not used in the proper grammar ( they throw and I thought) Not picking on you just pointing it out.

Lye is a soap booster, didn't know they use it at the car wash though. Guess there is no solder mask on my truck anymore.

It is a very good engine degreaser in the right dilution but rough on the aluminum parts.
