I try to research the internet to gain informations about the different dental alloys. It is hard to find infos about what has been used in the 1980's.

I know that time they started to use cheap palladium alloys. What I can't find out is:

were white high gold/platin (about80/10) alloys commonly used?
did they allready use cobalt/chrome to that time?
how much paladium has been common in the cheap alloys?
has palladium ever been used together with platinum without gold in dental alloys?

I have already searched all products from heraeus and degussa and several dental related sides.

Try looking at www.argen.com. They list out all of the different alloys (it's 100s). It should give you a good idea of the different blends of alloys and percentages of metals in them.
