After feeling confident with recovery and refining with several past projects in the last couple months, I now have troubles. I took 35 cpu's , 386's, 486's, and alot of other makes. These had any lids removed and the ceramics were pounded into maybe 8 pieces each and were placed into a nitric leach. The leach solution was poured off and a attempt at running in HCL/CL was done without satisfaction. However some gold did go into solution and SMB was added to precipitate the brown solution. It never went clear as usual and still has a light brown tint. It took much longer for it to drop and I see a more whitish powder than brown on the bottom of the beaker. What do you think this white is?

The remaining undisolved gold on the cpu's are now in our first attempt at aqua regia.
