I got a quote today for almost 1400.00 for 1 Kg of 2N.

Any one have info on how to make my own.

I’m not giving you a hard time, I’m just curious if you really need 2n certified or if you just need reagent zinc hydroxide. The latter can be prepared by precipitation of zinc dissolved in hcl, by sodium hydroxide.

Or if you are looking for zinc powder to precipitate Pgms or something.

Doesn't need to be certified. It was the only one I found that had it to quote so far. That was the lowest grade they had.

I have everything I need to make it including PPE and a fume hood with a scrubber.
