Hello. Im from indonesia and im new here. I had with me 3 samples of pyrites. If any of you guys had good knowledge in pyrites, your comments is much appreciated.

Btw, I'm looking for gold or PGM if ever existed in these rocks.

Best Regards.

Welcome.
This is a forum for refining precious metals not for mining and ores.
With that said, there are some skilled "miners" in here so they might chime in.
Another thing is that even if pictures is nice it is next to impossible to identify something by pictures alone.
More information is needed.

Thanks Yggdrasil.
I will get an xrf report soon. God's willing. :)

Pic #1, and the rock in the video are pyrite. Pic 2 and 3 appear to be lead zinc ore, which are likely to have considerable arsenic and quite a lot of iron.

Looking at the ICP report, my suspicions are confirmed. No such significant values for the home gamer. A professional mining company would need reserves of a few hundred million tons to do anything more than send a geologist to look.

Cool looking specimens, though.

Time for more coffee.

that rock is very high in Arsenic

Exposure. The lethal dose of arsenic in humans is 2-20 mg/kg

if i were you
i will use rubber glove to handle those rocks
and discard the place where You find it
and i will throw away that rock.

perhaps there is others places where You can find better ore.

search the internet for info and pictures about Arsenic
how it’s looks like.

in Arizona there is a very famous mine
but have mostly Arsenopyrite

for me and many peoples that i know
is a No no mining activity

I Don’t even pass by there.

I circle around ,so i don’t have the
temptation to pick up some of those good looking rocks

even in the past a company extract gold from it.

But they had so many equipment in place
even so they only mining there for few years
the risk is to high and they search and found better places for mining.

for Us small miners and prospectors

Is Not Worthy at all

too much effort and money
and have to buy lot of equipment
and permits and and .

and the most important Your Health
can be at a very high Risk

Think about it.

Thanks for the reply friends, you definitely have more experience is it possible that there is gold in the rock and the analysis equipment is not able to identify it?
