i have this plate that is gold plate just what to know the best way to get the off.sulfuric cells,Nitric Acid?

hcl/Cl would work as long as the plate itself is porcelain. it wont work on a metal plate.

Either is good.
If i had just one of these, probably would choose dilute nitric.
If i had many, then the cell would be my choice.

Sad to say, but there is going to be a lot of beautiful 'artifacts' destroyed in this gold rush!

If it is on copper the concentrated sulfuric acid stripping cell, then you can clean up the copper dish and keep it as a copper plate.

I'am in no rush but I'am still learning and most likely sell it the way it is. I have done some a/p,hcl/cl,for fingers and nitric for gold jewelry. The first finger test failed and second fringer ok got gold and nitric calcu about 3.8g out of 7.4g of 10k and 14k mix got 3.6g went good if my calcu is right. So the first test made me slow down and read more and ask Questions on thing my not sure of. A person can learn a lot on this forum and i'am one of them so thank you all for your replies.
