I am performing some maintenance on my fume hood, since the silicon caulking that I used to seal the seams between the glazed ceramic tiles has delaminated. As I pulled the silicon caulking from the fume hood floor, I noticed that it is deteriorating. Any one have any ideas on what to use to keep the seams leak proof. I should add, that the seams are not continuously wet with acidic water but, they do get wet occasionally. I thought for this application silicon would work, but it doesn't.
Thank you,
