correct. just add in small increments. add a little and let the reaction stop, then add a little more. do it with the solution warm.be sure to add hcl as needed until all the nitrate is depleted.

Ok Geo just added legs from about 4 cpus im assuming thats small enough to start the extra salt added was about a half teaspoon, and my flask is getting to be past 1/3rd full after this so....

only add hcl in small increments as well. if you add metal and you dont get a reaction, add a few ml's of hcl. do this until the addition of metal or hcl causes no reaction. that can only mean the solution has run out of nitrate.
