Hmmm, guilty as charged. I was processing a number of CRT's, the hole, where the high voltage plugs into, has a wee metal seal/connection, this is where i use a nail punch and hammer to make a small hole, allowing air in and no bang bang.
Weeeell i was on the last CRT and it was the biggest(36inch) and i forgot to release the vacuume, i started cutting through the steel mounting band with the angle grinder and BANG!!
I "Always" wear safety goggles when working with CRT's, had i not that particular day, i would be writting this blind. :shock:

Edit: Those black things are nickel ferrite, they go into my scrap iron bin.
