boiling in hcl

will boiling in hcl disolve all the base metals in pins :?: the reason i`m asking is that i got pins off of fibre cpu`s by boiling in hcl, i boiled them three times over and now the hcl stays clear, but there is brown dust in the bottom along with the foils :|
