Hi guys!
I’m new to refining and would like to read more about precious metals refining. I’m starting to read the book of Hoke’s Refining Precious Metal Waste as I found from another thread. What other books do you guys recommend? I don’t mind paying money for it but I hoped it would be easy to understand and does not require a degree.

I hope to get into the mining industry someday as I currently work for a small refining company. Therefore I would like to brush up my knowledge and skills.

Take a look in the section named “Books and Other Information “. There are many free pdf books there as well as several lists for other books and papers worth reading.

2 good books to start which don’t get too technical are:

Small Scale Refining of Jewelers Waste by Loewen

How to Smelt your Gold & Silver by Chapman

Both available from Legend. Lmine.com.
I really need to get a copy of the Chapman book as much of my interest is leaning toward smelting these days.

Should also include a good book on fire assay

both Legend mining & Action mining have good selections of books in their catalogs

Edit to add; - I have bought books & other refining related stuff from both

Sir, welcome to the community. You don’t need to buy anything. There is so much available here to educate yourself on refining. Just download

Anthonyulo8, This will get you started. There is much you need to know. Knowledge is Power, remember that. I started out assaying gold ore in 1976. Since then, I have mined hundreds of ounces of gold in Guyana and Sierra Leone West Africa and some in the Western United States and Mexico. The secrets of the world in Chemistry are still out there, it's up to new people and a younger generation to carry on this Theoretical Chemistry challenge and discover new paths.

Also, get The book titled "Fire Assaying" by Bugbee, it's on the net for a free download.
And buy "Analysis of Noble Metals" by Beamish & Van Loom for refining of the Platinum Metals
Refining of Karat gold etc. is so simple that a monkey can do it.
Respectfully,
