Hello all,

We'll, this is my first post, here it goes....

I’ve been using Nitric Acid (70%) diluted 50/50 for silver refining and I’ve finally completed my first 1000g (give or take) refining of .925 to .999% and it was great fun. I’ve finally got something to put in the safe, all the scrap silver wouldn’t fit.

I’ve used copper to cement out the silver and iron to cement out to copper of the Nitric Solution. Now I’m left with a used up, nasty solution of stuff that I’m going to bring to my next neighborhood paint/chemical recycling event.

My question is........ Is there any process by which I can "re-activate" this Nitric Acid solution so it could be used on my next 1000g batch or do I need to start from scratch all over again (about $128 for 2.5L shipped to my place in Florida).

Thanks for the help.

PS. Does anyone know a local source for Nitric Acid is S Florida (Fort Lauderdale Area)???
