I think the members would be really interested in what you pay as many produce precious metals and some do wish to sell, I know this sounds like we are picking on you but if you have been in this business for any time you will understand our suspicions.
A simple percentage of spot would do and we do understand if you have different percentages for volume.

Let me try to make this more simple to answer..
If I was to call you and quote 90% of spot for gold as my best payout I’m sure you could beat that but if I quoted 98% of spot would you even try.
Just a simple base percentage of spot is what we are after , your basic pay rate , asking for people to quote their payouts is a bit of a cop out, as I said we understand if someone turns up with 100 ounces of gold they probably will get a better percentage than someone with two rings and a thin necklace weighing 1/2 oz total.
I am trying to help you here but you need to be open about your percentages even if it’s just the minimum.

Do you have an XRF to determine karat? And do you melt on site for a 100 dwt. lot that walks in the door? Your competition will melt (probably by torch for a small lot) and shoot it with an XRF and pay on the result.

Just to make an example of what you have told us here, if a member brought you a home refined button that is typically .999 fine if done right. It will be nice and shiny and even have a surface crack cleavage showing the crystals internally, which indicates purity.

You will pay (let's say it is exactly 1 ounce and gold is at $2700)
$2700 x .0481 x 20 = $2597.40
$2597.40 / $2700 = 0.962

Your payout is 96.2% or your hold back is 3.8%

That is a decent payout. Any other charges? Testing on a stone will have you thinking it is 22k so you need to be able to test refined metal.

I drive to sell in SE MI to companies that only buy from businesses. My buyers tend to be happy to sell inventory that they buy as well, as long as I don't show up on a day that the market dumped. When I was in the shop, whoever was there was quite adamant that you couldn't sell any jewelry in a wholesale arrangement....so I moved on as I'm generally looking for partners that can help me grow, not just someone who wants to make money off my scrap.

Your silver numbers are on part to what I'm used to. Your gold numbers are not necessarily competitive for someone who has shopped around much. However, I understand the difficulty of being competitive on gold...you end up getting paid very little to move a lot, and if you are only acid testing, one bad piece can erase the profits of multiple purchases.

The one thing that makes buying live scrap in the US is the more than generous allowances in the actual gold content, in the UK there is no allowance on most items it’s either plum or not marked making margins easier to fix.

If you read the note on the website...."Call 734 604 5300 for up to the minute quotes". I would disregard any obvious prices that donot gel with todays market....most of our clients call..

So you have a web site that will allow you to place an item in your cart. Check out at $2,399.00 an ounce, depending on payment method take real money from someone and then may find the price is different unless someone notices a note on the website. If a call is needed then why allow people to buy and pay via bank transfer through an e-commerce process. Just direct them to contact you. The only payment methods all leave a buyer with no recourse (cash, check, bank transfer and crypto.). For me these are all red flags of a scam, and in precious metals there are lots of them. Chelsea may not be one but too many red flags to just come in and say “trust me.”

Well the OP has been open about his terms and for that I thank him , whether he attracts any customers from here is up to the members but if anyone does trade with him please follow up with a post about the experience.
The problem he may face is that most here have fine metals so unless his buyer is an actual refiner he may struggle to offer better terms.
