chlorine gas

Hi,
I have been generating chlorine gas using HCL and bleach. My question, is there a better way with common chemical and HCL.

If you can get dry calcium hypochlorite (bleaching powder) it will work the same way and result in solutions with a lower overall volume.

Yet another way is to set up a chlorine gas generator and produce the as as needed. Lou posted a link to a great method for making chlorine gas from pool chlorinating tablets.

Just the other day 4Metals mention using sodium chlorate, but it's not always easy to come by or cheap if you do find it.

In a nutshell any source of chlorine will work.
