I use glass and plastic containers in the recovery process like everyone else...What is the best thing to use to clean up everything? The glass containers and plastic utensils?
Thanks,
Gold Nut :?

Harold recommends ''BonAmi''.

It does not scratch glass.
That's correct. Scratches on the surface of glassware renders the item relatively useless for precipitation. Gold has a way of adhering to the scratches, and can be difficult to remove. I always used pristine beakers for precipitation. Once marked in the least, they were demoted, used for the first operation, dissolution of base metals after inquarting.

I also avoided using plastic for precipitation, primarily for the same reason. I used very little plastic in my operation aside for dealing with waste materials, or for cementing silver from nitrate solutions.
