curious if anyone has discerned purity of pd in Hammond buss bars

If you have removed the wire it self from the bus bar it should be pure Pd so should be able to sell it as pure Pd

Thanks, I have the electronic parts of a few organs in my strip pile. There are a lot of fine yellow hair wires that looked odd, it'll be interesting.

The bussbar wire is 99%. The contact points that touch the bussbar are 93%~94%. For any organ there is 10 times the weight in bussbar than contacts roughly. So if you have 3.5g of bussbar in any one organ, you have about .35 grams in tips in the same organ. Are you sure they paid only 90% purity, and not just paid 90% of spot? Because 90% of spot on Pd is an excellent price. There’s way more to refining PGM’s than gold or silver. Most reputable buyers/refiners will pay 95-97 on gold and silver, but not Pd. 90% is actually good. 85% is normal. Maybe they paid 90% of spot and you thought they were saying the purity was only 90%.
