Dissolving Gold with Lugol's Solution (Iodine/Sodium Iodide)

Although this topic has been discussed before, I would like to see if anyone has any new insights into this process.

If what you are stripping is free of Cu it's a waste of time. The Cu will go into solution along with the gold. It also takes forever.

There is no copper in what I am dealing with, just a large percentage of magnetite. I understood that this leach was selective for gold as long as the ph did not go too high.

The only test I've done has been on E-scrap.

as an ore thats out of my realm other on here will be able to help.
