Hi!
Got some time to get back to the pm's. To clean up some of the stuff, I took a bucket of the old waste ( all the liquid waste I've created. old ap, HCl from stripping boardsof solder, stannis-negative solutions from smb drops...everything but nitric) fed it till it quit eating copper, settled, decanted and collected black powder.
Then, I stood four pieces of steel re-bar in it to recover the copper and get it neared to be disposable. I.m curious because the copper is clumped-up in the bottom of the bucket, but there is a small, black, grainy powder that can be washed out of the copper by decanting.
Wondering what it could be? an alloy metal from the rebar? silver that was in the mix? Like fine black sand.
I gonna do some testing and see what it does.
Any ideas?
I'll get a photo up here soon as I can! artart47
