Without an assay, what you have is rocks.

Very bad images of yellow and a few red rocks. Ditch the handheld cell phone. Invest in a quality digital camera, a good selection of lenses, and a stable tripod.

Also take the comments from Yggdrasil and Nick to heart. Many rocks can appear to have gold, but do not. If your rocks have free gold, not chemically bound to other elements, crush and pan is an easy, and relatively good way to prove you have gold.

Any assay will tell you if you have gold. ICP-MS or ICP-AAS assay will also tell you what else is in your rocks, which is very helpful in determining any ore treatment.

Time for more coffee.

Simply googling was gold ever found in Florida brings this up.

The geology of Florida does not present the conditions needed for gold. Most of the state of Florida as we know it today was once covered by water, where limestone deposits were formed and built up over millions of years. Numerous occurrences of flooding and receding ocean waters added sediment deposits as well. Simply put, these are not the geological conditions where gold is found, and there are no known occurrences of natural gold within the state of Florida.

Gold prospectors in Florida would be encouraged to research the gold deposits that have been found in nearby Alabama and Georgia. Both of these states have produced significant amounts of both lode and placer gold, and recreational mining is still done in several areas within both states. Although panning for gold in Florida might be a fun way to pass the time, it is doubtful that any gold is likely to be recovered. Focus attention to the gold bearing states to the north if you are serious about finding gold.

FL is almost all limestone, aka built of dead and compacted coral. Geologically speaking, where would gold come from in that scenario?

From limonite nevada arizona is limestone and they are top producers in gold and there is also gold that comes from reefs and they call it reef gold been found in australia so the question is why wouldnt fl have gold because i read that limestone is actually a great host rock to hold gold here is a picture for you so after seeing this picture now the question we all should be asking is why wouldnt there be gold in flScreenshot_20230721-033940_Chrome.jpg

Fist of all - just because rocks contain yellow/golden mineralized coloration doesn't mean it is gold --- have you ever heard the term fools gold ?

That term comes from people that think they have found gold (because of the color) & then waste there time chasing after it only to find out it is not gold !!!

The BLM (Bureau of Land Management) & USGS (United States Geological Survey) keeps records of ALL mines in ALL states

According to the BLM & USGS records there are 441 mines in Florida ------------

https://thediggings.com/usa/florida
Here is the list of those 441 mines in Florida ------------

https://thediggings.com/usa/florida/commodities
Please note that NONE of those mines are gold mines --- that is because gold has NEVER been mined in Florida & that is because there is NO natural occurring gold in Florida !!!!

In other words - the yellow/golden colored mineralization in your rocks - is at best FOOLS gold !!!

RWell if you dig deep enough on the internwt you will see that in fact they did mine gold out of fl at one time in northeastern fl and also it just blows my mind how close minded some people are like why is it so hard to believe that maybe that there was some geological volcanic history unkowned to the goverment they find out new things everyday like just recently in australia they found i think it was like 7 new super volcanoes and it just blows my mind to think that some people are so stuck in there ways that they cant accept a new idea of maybe what if like come on they find out new stuff everyday there are some things that when you went to school they taught you something that doesnt even apply to today because of new discoveries and it changed come on why is everyone so negative about new ideas which can change what we thought we once knew to so.ething tottally different like in reality u think the goverment went and walked every square inch of fl that there really isnt someway somehow that they missed something at all

Also i do alot of reading and read that gold runs with pyrite here read this A Thermodynamic Analysis on the Roasting of Pyrite

Possible, yes. Like the superfine microscopic gold 'recently' discovered where old timers found nothing in their pans and moved on. Assaying showed quite different results.
Or calaverite opeing up a lot more gold and silver ore we never new about.
The earth is not flat anymore, and thunder is not a god.
But most geological areas have been searched extensively.
Something could have been missed, true.
Now when I see a tv show of a submarine looking for new forms of life around hydrothermal vents makes me wonder if that's what they really are looking for.
You will have to figure it out and maybe make a fortune.
You will know once you have your rocks assayed.

If gold is in the geological area, it can bind to pyrite. But there are pyrite rich areas without economically mineable gold.
A=B does not always mean that B=A.

Also i do alot of reading and read that gold runs with pyrite here read this

True - IF --- (the VERY BIG IF) the pyrite comes from a geological location known to be gold bearing

But not all pyrite is gold bearing & if it is not gold bearing in the first place you can roast it all day long & it wont turn the pyrite into gold

Therefore - because Florida is known for having NO natural deposits of gold - the pyrite in Florida will also not bear any gold - no matter how much you roast it
i think i found a gold ore deposit with super rich high grade gold ore

Per the bold print (above quote) you can think hope wish & even want what you found to be a rich deposit/discovery of gold - but thinking hoping wishing & wanting does not make it so (& asking us to give you conformation - based on pictures of rock - wont make it so)

If you really want to know what you have - then you NEED to send some samples to an actual lab that does actual assays for gold in ores

Kurt

I think that the members are trying to tell you not to build your hopes up or buy that Ferrari just yet, do some testing as I suggested earlier , time well spent unlike searching the inter web to try to prove a point.
Yes i understand that ive been looking at this spot for the past 2 3 years but lived here my wholre life in this spot and i know i wasnt trying to prove anything i was just trying to say open your mind up alittle

I hope you are right! I truly do. But I also am skeptical, and you have scientific consensus to battle. As do all new theories.
An assay will give an answer. we know of no other option. sooooo....

Even if there is gold there, like many other places, it does not mean it is a viable money making venture. On the other hand, finding any gold in its natural state is pretty exciting. Most gold found here in Alabama is very fine, but it is gold and many people look for and find it fairly regularly.

I think we all hope you are right and you do have gold but you need to prove that we can’t , I was trying to advise you to do some simple testing and report back nothing majorly difficult but simply crush a sample and pan it not spend time arguing with the members, please understand your post unfortunately is not the first or even in the first hundred of claims of gold or other precious metals in rocks and we get very skeptical about them especially when no proof is offered.
