Hi all! How are tricks?
I hope that everybody is good!!
I've not called in for two weeks as I have been pant's out of internet credit , it's been a painfull two week's I can tell you! :x
Well , after two fruitless trips to find a guy out in the sticks who said that he may be interested in the sconces , I was about ready to give up.
I kept getting dodgy directions from people who seemed to be local to the area that the guy lives in , but they keep getting me lost!
I had borrowed about £15 in all for fuel trying to find the guy , and it made me late picking up my boys from school too , I can honestly say that this is the first time that I have experienced road rage!!
Third time lucky and I found him , 'Browns Antiques' , in the middle of nowhere.
The really annoying thing was that he also said that they were desireable pieces , but as they were fitted for electric light they were too modern for his shop.
By this point I was convinced that they were cursed , so I just told the guy that they were his for £20 , and he duly took them off of my hands and thankfully out of my life for good , lol's
So all in all , the whole thing was kind of a waste of time.
I did learn some stuff , and I do know the backroads of the north east of Jersey a whole lot better than I did a month ago , but those fittings were becoming more of a pain than I could have imagined , no chance that I was going to wait for an auction.
So , a bit of an anti-climax really ,
Anyway , I picked up my first e-scrap motherlode last week , so all is still good , but that's for another post!
All the best for now everybody , and can I please tell you what an immense pleasure it is to be back in touch with the GRF!!
All the very best and kind regards ,
Chris
