Gold electroplating strips pretty well, but, will gold filled or rolled gold plate do OK?

Martijn most gold filled / rolled gold alloys used in the UK is around 12% Ag , I’m not sure what they use in the US so make your alloy around the same percentage , higher karat alloys have less silver usually so the silver content should pose no problems very similar to using AR .
So i assume that would be 12.5 % Ag and 12.5% Cu to make 75% gold, or 18K, or are there other karats used for gold filled?
I did some 18K in the cell before, which dissolved, and i know 14K dissolves, so i did not think there is a reason to test that.
my though was to test how low can the cell handle, and what is the lowest karat one can expect? I though 8K ( with equal amounts copper/silver) would be the ultimate test.

18 karat yellow alloys will have perhaps 5% Ag the balance been mainly copper and a small amount of zinc that’s why 18 k will dissolve in AR and 14 k is probably around 7% Ag so again it should dissolve in AR.
I believe that the Germans use 8k the UK ,Australia and New Zealand and perhaps others use 9k while the US uses 10k.
As an aside much Italian 9k has no silver so again easy to dissolve in AR.
