So i assume that would be 12.5 % Ag and 12.5% Cu to make 75% gold, or 18K, or are there other karats used for gold filled?Martijn most gold filled / rolled gold alloys used in the UK is around 12% Ag , I’m not sure what they use in the US so make your alloy around the same percentage , higher karat alloys have less silver usually so the silver content should pose no problems very similar to using AR .
I did some 18K in the cell before, which dissolved, and i know 14K dissolves, so i did not think there is a reason to test that.
my though was to test how low can the cell handle, and what is the lowest karat one can expect? I though 8K ( with equal amounts copper/silver) would be the ultimate test.
