I have a gold piece for sale (as shown in the attached photo). I’ve asked several gold shops in my area, and most of them are only offering me the price for 95% gold. I feel like I’m being underpriced, so I’d like to find another place to sell it. Are there any trustworthy buyers here, and is there a safe way to conduct the transaction? I'm not sure, but I think that is quite normal when they buy from sources they do not know.

Duyle didn't actually say he was being offered 95% of spot price for his gold

Rather he said he is being offered - the price - for 95% gold

Those are 2 different things

So Duyle needs to clarify what he is saying

Are they offering him 95% of spot price ? --- if so that is a VERY good offer

Or are they offering him - a price - on 95% gold (instead of 999 pure gold) ?

The photo does not look like .999 fine gold. Maybe 99 or lower. What does the buyers XRF say?

The buyer will likely take the XRF result and multiply it by the weight to determine how much of the weight is actually gold, and then pay 95% of gold spot for that.

As I read it the buyer guesstimates it at 95% pure. for a button looking like that, (and no XRF?) that's pretty fair imo.
a good way to rip you off woud be testing with 22K solution on a touch stone.
