Gold left in melting dish

It seem like I have a lot of gold left in dish. Maybe I need to use more borax to season? The black in the dish is from the torch hitting tongs. Any help or suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Don't be concerned about the ring of gold you will recover it when you clean your dish out.

Nice looking bar in your other post. Button is a little dirty. You can tell by the color of the flux in your dish where it looks green. Overall a good job.
