i have a friend that has a chance to acquire 25 pounds of honey comb from a converter off a large diesel truck. i gave him all the warnings about buying washed material and he said the guy is a backyard mechanic and had taken the honeycomb out to sell the scrap metal. when my friend told him it was worth something the guy started checking around and told my friend that he wasnt going to waste his time shipping it and offered to sell it to him for $100 total. here is the pictures he sent to me. i hate to give him bad advice.does it seem like a good buy?

I would be careful with diesel converters. This place buys many for only $10 each;

And I have seen another that ranges from $13 up to $530. I guess the $530 one is that expensive Dodge one.

If you are processing it, see if you can toll refine it.
I guess $100 isn't too bad of a gamble, but I think there are some worthless diesel converters out there.
