had My recovered gold analyzed today

I was at the scrap yard. Today and.noticed the youngster
had the gun(analyzer)
I asked him to hit my gold,he said OK.
28 % gold
4% silver
4% tin
Unfortunately he doesnt speak English.to well that's all I could get
My question. Silver? Could be from silver sold

Plus he said he needs a flat solid surface that was dry

I keep it in a 1ltr bottle in water

Those windows are about 2" square,so maybe that is what happened.Were you holding something else when hit scanned it? Was he holding something else?
