Hello again!
3 years ago I came across an old industrial printer. The owner said its original price was 500.000 marks (todays 250.000 euros)and was manufactured in Swiss somewhere 1980s. The machine had a volume of 10-15 square meters... Anyway I dismembered the machine, collected the boards, motors, sold the iron, everything normal, but then I found the heads of the printer. Each is 25mm wide, 8mm thick, 40 cm long and each weights 700g.
I am still wondering what the base material is, when I scratched it whit a knife I got a silver luster (in the picture you can see it on my finger in better color)
So i did some calculations:
2.5 x 0.8 x 42 = 84 cm3... this means a density of 8,33g/cm... so silver is out of the game... shame...it would be worth 1.500 euros which would come in handy now more than ever xD
Anyway what do you reckon it could be (the "base" material)? hope the pictures are helpful
PS really hope I didnt post in the wrong category and thank you for your advice
http://goldscrapaljaz.blogspot.si/ here are the images (how do you post images here? How can you upload)? had troubles and so I did a quick new blog...
