There is a new tv series (on natgeo) called "Meltdown". In one of these episodes it shows a guy using hcl and bleach to recover platinum from catalytic converters.
Is this possible? Will the combination of these two chemicals leach the platinum from the converter cores? And if so, is there a video of this process on the forum somewhere?
