Hello everyone long time no see but my mind is still thinking about refining :)

I searched the forum and did not find a good answer to my situation, I have some dental crowns that I know have gold in them and when I soak one for a test to remove any base metals the HCL/px turns a nice vibrant orange, I was wondering if anyone know's what metal is causing this color change and is the resulting solution any more toxic then the HCL/px with copper in it? I forgot the the name of HCL with copper in it so please excuse me, i think its copper chloride?

Thanks wop
