I live in wonderful North Carolina, Stanly COunty to be exact. (@36 miles east of Charlotte)

I have prospected for gold as a hobby for many years, and have over the past 6 months or so become interested "electronics gold."

I am wondering, is there anyone in my general area who would be willing to help me get some "hands on" expierience? I have read about the AR process and I am able to understand the A,B, and C of it, but I don't want to just jump in if I don't have to!

I was thrilled to find this forum, and wish to thank everyone in advance for all the good advise and information!

I am in no rush as I'm just getting started collecting stuff to process, I just wanted to "put my flag out" and say Hi to everyone!

Daniel :D

Welcome to the forum Daniel,

Browse around a bit, use the search link at the top, and then ask some more specific questions... you'll get the answers you are after.

I'm in Florida,

Welcome to the forum Daniel.

I'll be out in Kitty Hawk area in August for 10 days or so. Maybe more. After 14 years on the west coast I can't wait to get back east. I've been thinking a lot lately about blue crab and old bay seasoning.

Dan -- if you start out small. Like just doing experiments in test tubes and small dishes -- just to get used to reactions etc, you'll start to build some confidence with recovering and refining.

read as much as you can on safety and protecting yourself and your loved ones. Some of these chemicals can be hazardous. Make sure you have adequate ventilation and that you skin and eyes are protected.

Take your time -- be patient -- start out slow and small.

Above all -- enjoy all that you are learning. It's a blast.

There were a couple of spots -- Inner Harbor in Baltimore and Annapolis Maryland -- where the tables had a large hole through the top. While shelling your crab and oysters you just shovel the shells in the hole--fill up a barrel underneath the table.

We could eat crab ---aaaaaaaalllllllllllllll day long.

I'm looking forward to a trip back east and down south.

Blue Crab
Oysters
Grits
Hush puppies
Fried gizzards
Scraple
Biscuits and sausage gravy

Lord ... help me

I'll taking my metal detector too.

good one Lazer -- pay backs baby paybacks !!!!!!!! LOL
