where is the best place to buy the chemicals that are used such as nitric acid ?

There is a process for making Nitric that is listed here in the forum. That uses sodium nitrate from a garden supply house. Buying 70% Nitric acid could be expencive. The acid is cheap enough but shipping has its drawbacks. !/2 gal cost me $85.00. I use it very little because of that.
