Help extracting silver from X-ray Films

Good day guys,

Does anyone know any method of extracting silver in x-ray films. We have many old x-ray films in my workplace.

You can sell the film directly and get more return for you efforts.

If you process them yourself you can get some nice silver but the total return will not be as high due to the large amount of labor involved.

It's not complicated, but very labor intensive.

Just rinse in NaOH 10%. Better if you have an up and down mechanism, or
a travelling rope upon which you hang the films with clips
