Can you check your spelling?

Na₂S₂O₄ is called sodium dithionite or sodium hydrosulfite.

It looks like it would break down to, among other things, SO₂ in strong acidic conditions and that will drop gold. What the other side reactions will do I don't know. Nothing I have tested myself.
